Anora McGaha, Visiting Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina
Background and Education Raised overseas, around the Mediterranean Sea in the Middle East, she is the daughter and granddaughter of diplomats. Anora has a BA in Chinese Languages and Literature from The University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass. and a Master’s in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University in Massachusetts.
Chinese has been a major interest. Anora studied a junior year abroad in Taiwan at Tunghai University, and a post graduate year in China, at Beijing Normal University.
Coaching. She completed a one year weekend program coaching certificate in Business Coaching from the Business Coaching Institute through Duke University’s Continuing Education program in North Carolina.
Family Anora lives with her husband, Martin and their rescued beagle, Lady. Her husband is a video engineer, Air Force veteran, marathon runner and photographer. Anora has a twenty year old son who is a junior at university. Anora believes in giving back to the community and volunteers weekly in the Triangle.
Interests Anora is a writer, pencil color artist (with a small “a”), amateur photographer, blogger, web designer and internet publicist. She’s been called a bird whisperer as she befriends macaws, who can clip your finger as quickly as you can wink. She speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese, and some French and Italian and a little Spanish.
